The pre-registration period begun November 3rd, 2013 - January 12th, 2014 and the  Master year course starts February 3rd, 2014 and ends  September 30th, 2014.

Although it is the First Edition of the Master’s Degree, it is the fourth year that the programme has been running at the first team center in Madrid. The aim of the course is: to ensure that the actor’s training is combined with the needs and requirements of the rest of the creative team on set, to achieve a high technical and artistic quality whilst performing in front of the camera, to provide the tools needed to be successful as a professional actor, to learn to manage your own career and to accomplish visibility and a sense of presence at castings, amongst others.

The Master’s Degree is divided into four different content areas including: On-camera acting, audiovisual language, audiovisual technology and the audiovisual market. The majority of classes on the course are practical and conducted by prestigious professionals from the sector.

Created in 1999 by International actors, the first team School is a training center that aims to globally integrate all professionals from the Spanish audiovisual sector into the creation, production, and distribution, as well as the exhibition process of any type of audiovisual work. Therefore, the founders have developed pioneering programmes, based in principles of quality, attitudes and innovative techniques. Over the last 13 years, more than 1.800 students and filmmakers, across six different countries and 23 cities, have received training from first team.

For 3 years first team, in collaboration with the University Rey Juan Carlos, has offered the first and only specialist university course in film-acting, which this year has become the first Master’s Degree in Film-Acting.

More than 20 businesses and institutions have supported and validated first team’s labour, amongst them the Ministry of Culture, the Community of Madrid, the Audiovisual Cluster and the Caixa.

First team Foundation is a pioneering foundation.

Actors Assumpta Serna and Scott Cleverdon created the first team International Foundation for film and audiovisual training. The HQ is based in Madrid and its subsidiary is centered in Buenos Aires. The Foundation is a non-profit organization, a pioneering corporation, an international reference model and a professional center that offers an innovative system for teaching on-camera acting: Film-Acting Course (ICFT).

With a clear social and international vocation, the first team Foundation has several principal objectives: to encourage the education of film and TV professionals, to improve the audiovisual industry by implementing a practical study of relevant knowledge for audiovisual communicators, to aid their insertion into the international market and to change society’s perception of the actor in society, dignifying the profession and limiting professional infiltration.
